o you know that there
were people who were given the glad tidings of Paradise during their lifetime??
Today, we'll study the
ten sahabas, who were close associates of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who were
promised heaven throughout their lifetime by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They
invested all in them for the sake of Islam's prosperity. They were the Blessed
Companions of the Prophet Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam.
Abu Bakar As-Siddique (R.A)
The first SAHABI
promised to enter Jenna was Abu Bakar as-siddiq. The Prophet Muhamamd salallahu alayhi wasalam
said about Abu Bakar that
"If the Emaan
of Abu Bakar were weighed against the Emaan of the earth's population, the
Emaam of Abu Bakar would win."
Umar Ibn Al
Khattab (R.A)
The second SAHABI
promised to enter Jenna was Umar Ibn al-Khattab. The Prophet Muhammad salallahu
alayhi wasalam said about Umar Ibn Al Khattab that
"If a prophet were to
come after me, it would be Umar Ibn al-Khattab."
Usman Ibn Affan ((R.A)
The third Sahabi who
promised to enter Jenna was Usman Ibn Affan. He was a rich man.
"Concerning his
marriage with two daughters of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Ruqayya and Umm Kulthum
Binte Muhammad (PBUH), he is also known as Dhu Al- Nurayn."
Ali Ibn Abi Talib (R.A)
The Forth Sahabi who
promised to enter Jenna was Ali Ibn Abi Talib. He was the son of Abu Talib and
Fatima binte Asad and husband of Fatima binte Muhammad (PBUH) and the father of
Hassan, Hussain, and Zainab. The Prophet Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam said
about Ali Ibn Abi Talib that
"I am from Ali, and
Ali is from Me." Isn't it enough for you to be to me what Haroon was to
Musa?"
Abdur ‘Rahman Ibn Awf (R.A)
The fifth Sahabi who
promised to enter Jenna was Abdur Rahman ibn Awf. He was the wealthiest
companion and when the prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wasallam died he used
to financially support all of his wives. The Prophet Muhammad salallahu alayhi
wasalam is reported to have said about Abdul Rahman Ibn Awf in regard
that
"Abdur Rahman Ibn Awf
left a garden to the (Wives of Prophet) Mothers of Believers, which was
auctioned for 400,000."
Saad Ibn Ali Waqas (R.A)
The sixth Sahabi
promised to enter Jenna was Saad Ibn Ali Waqas. He was reportedly the seventh
person to accept Islam at the age of Seventeen. He was the first Companion to
Shoot an arrow for the sake of Allah and the Prophet (PBUH) made a supplication
that
Oh Allah, Make his
(Sa’ad’s prayer Accepted) - Whenever Sa’ad made Dua thereafter it would be
likely that It Would Come True”
Abu Ubaida Amir Ibn Al Jarrah (R.A)
The seventh Sahabi who
promised to enter Jenna was Abu Ubaida Ibn Al-Jarrah. The Prophet Muhammad
salallahu alayhi wasalam said about Abu Ubaida Ibn Al-Jarrah that
“And every nation has a
trustworthy guardian, and the trustworthy guardian of this Ummah is Abu Ubaida
Bin Jerrah”
Sa’id Ibn
Zayd (R.A)
The Eights Sahabi
promised to enter Jenna was Sa’id Ibn Zayd. He was the son of Zayd ibn Amir who
kept away from Quraysh before Islam and used to Worship Allah Alone. When his
Son Sa’is Ibn Zayd heard about Islam, he accepted Islam and served as secretary
of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and recorded the verses of the Quran.
“He was instrumental in the conversion of Umar Ibn
Khattab to Islam as he was married to Umar ibn Khattab Sister”
Talha Ibn Ubaidilah (R.A)
The Ninth Sahabi
promised to enter Jenna was Talha Ibn Ubaidilah. He was nicknamed “The Living
Martyr” for his heroics in the battle of Uhud when he was defending the Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) from the enemies. Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique said that
“Whenever Day of Uhud was
recalled, That day, The entire Day, belonged to Talha”
Zubair Ibn Al
Awwam (R.A).
The Tenth Sahabi who
promised to enter Jenna was Zubair Ibn Al Awwam. He was the companion of
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and commander of the Rashidun Army. The Prophet
Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam said about Zubair Ibn Al Awwam that
“Verily, for every
Prophet, there is a Hawary (Disciple), and my Hawary is Zubair Ibn Al
Awwam.”
